A infodemia, amplificada pelas redes sociais, propaga-se rapidamente, afetando todos os aspectos da vida.

Nesse vasto oceano de informações, muitas afirmativas são propagadas sem respaldo científico e, frequentemente, impulsionadas por interesses comerciais e políticos. A Dra. Isabela Ballalai, diretora da Sociedade Brasileira de Imunizações (SBIm), destaca que, desde o início da pandemia de COVID-19, as vacinas se tornaram o foco principal dos grupos que disseminam desinformação sobre saúde, o que tem impactado negativamente os esforços para aumentar as taxas de vacinação no Brasil, que comemora o 50º aniversário de seu Programa Nacional de Imunizações (PNI).
