A Polícia Federal de Campinas, em colaboração com a Receita Federal, realizou nesta quarta-feira (22) uma operação visando doleiros suspeitos envolvidos em um esquema de movimentação fraudulenta que totalizou mais de R$ 4 bilhões. Durante a ação, foram apreendidos aproximadamente R$ 1,3 milhão em dinheiro.
O principal alvo da operação foi identificado como o empresário Leonardo Meirelles, ex-sócio do doleiro Alberto Youssef, envolvido em investigações da Lava Jato. O montante apreendido foi encontrado na residência de Meirelles, localizada em Barueri (SP). A defesa do empresário afirma que ainda não teve acesso aos autos, mas assegura que ele não cometeu nenhuma irregularidade.
Nomeada de ‘Recidere’ em referência à reincidência de alguns investigados em outros processos da PF, a operação foi realizada pelo grupo de repressão a crimes financeiros da Polícia Federal de Campinas (SP). Ao todo, foram cumpridos 21 mandados de busca e apreensão, visando 16 pessoas físicas e cinco empresas em diversas cidades, incluindo São Paulo, Barueri, São Bernardo do Campo, São Caetano do Sul, Mogi Guaçu e Florianópolis.
O esquema envolvia o uso de empresas de fachada e sócios laranjas para abrir contas bancárias e movimentar recursos de clientes do esquema ilegal. Muitas vezes, os valores eram transferidos para o exterior, configurando crimes como evasão de divisas.
A Polícia Federal identificou indícios de participação de intermediadores cambiais e despachantes aduaneiros nas operações fraudulentas de comércio exterior.
Os crimes cometidos podem resultar em penas de até 26 anos de prisão, incluindo gerenciamento fraudulento de instituição financeira, operação não autorizada de instituição financeira, fraude em contrato de câmbio e evasão de divisas, todos contra o Sistema Financeiro Nacional.
